I thought I was pretty healthy and pretty fit but, unfortunately for me, I had a coach who held me accountable like no other. It was when I first encountered CrossFit. I remember walking into the gym feeling very out of place. It was very different from the typical gym environment. I found myself training for most of my adult life here. I was, you know, sort of in my early 30s and going at it again and I got to say it was amazing because this group format was wonderful, because I had a community that not only held me accountable, but I had a personal coach who held me accountable too. He did push me to my limits and I achieved results. I never thought possible Having that accountability partner transform not just my body but mostly my mindset. It was a true game changer. You've heard it before Willpower alone won't cut it. But what if I told you that accountability is like the sidekick to your willpower. It swoops in when your willpower falters and keeps you on the right path. It's like Batman and Robin, an unstoppable duo. A study from the Dominican University of California found that those who shared their goals with a friend, as well as sent weekly updates were significantly more likely to achieve them. Accountability bridges the gap between intention and action. Have you ever noticed that holding yourself accountable in one area of your life tends to spill over into other areas? It's like a domino effect of positivity. For example, when you commit to a consistent workout routine, you're more likely to make healthier food choices and as well as manage your stress and sleep better. It's a beautiful chain reaction. I did a lot of research around habit formation and what I found was if you start to type in to the Google, how many days does it take to form a habit, you're going to get a million and one different answers. So there are different studies that reference different durations to set, not only achieve goals, but also to maintain a habit and then create a ritual. And my answer to this is like don't worry so much about the number, Just remember the consistency. This is a journey of progression, not want of perfection. If you're consistent and frequent enough, you're going to notice some big positive changes. Remember, we're talking about a 2% solutioner. A little bit every day needs to be a shish overtime. Here's the real magic Self accountability. It's not just about relying on external factors. It's about owning your goals, actions and, most importantly, your outcomes. It's about becoming your accountability superhero and, trust me, it's a superpower worth mastering.
