Hello, go getters and change makers. Welcome back to your Monday Motivation episode of the 2% Solution podcast. I'm your host, diamond Well, your chief energizer and motivator. You're to kickstart your week with a burst of inspiration and, hopefully, a dash of fun. But first off, massive shout out to all of you amazing listeners. Your support during last week's launch was like a supernova of awesomeness. Quite literally, it just lit it up. And, hey, I also got to roll out the red carpet for our newest podcast supporters. Thank you so much. A big shout out to Jen, christy and Chris You're the latest superheroes in our community and we're super pumped to have you on board. Today we're diving into something that's as essential to us as air and water. What is that? It's the power of human connection. In a world where screens often replace faces and text replaced talks, we're exploring the undeniable magic that happens when we truly connect with one another. And think about it. When was the last time you had a really just a good, old fashioned conversation with someone? No emojis, no likes, just pure, unindulterated human interaction. It's kind of like finding an extra fry at the bottom of the bag right Unexpectedly delightful. So today's episode we're going to talk a little bit about that power of human connection, and it's this one underrated emotion which I believe is to be empathy, because I know, with a little bit more of that in the world, I think our situation globally will be very, very different. So, anyways, grab your favorite drink, get comfy, let's delve into the heartwarming world of human connections, because here's the starting our week with more than smiles, more hellos and definitely more high fives, virtual or otherwise. So let's talk about this idea, the power of human connection. Human connection is in an incredibly powerful motivator. I mean, in the past, our ancestors valued human touch in close interactions with one another, and this need for empathetic touch remains important today. For example, their studies have shown that babies and orphanages have a higher mortality rate when they aren't cuddled and socially stimulated. Now, speaking from personal experience, I know that the power of a hug from my own kids or a caress from my wife, or even a congratulatory high five or fist pump from a friend or colleague always puts a huge pep in my step and elevates my motivation. The seemingly simple action of physical human connection can lift a person from a place of self doubt to a place of self belief. I've seen this over and over again with my clients. A gentle pat on the back, helping someone up from the floor after a set of setups, any small act of kindness involving a light touch is enough to make a connection and bang the other person lights up. Next thing, they pay it forward and use that energy to tackle their life with a new found appreciation, passion and understanding. So to test this idea, try to recall a time in your life when you felt deflated or depressed. Take a bad day, war, or a time when you lost your temper with your child. Maybe your GPA has been brought down by that C on the final exam. Or you gained an extra pound this week, even though you're sure you followed your program perfectly. All of these scenarios suck. Yes, I said suck. It's okay to say that Can't be positive all the time, but seriously, we're only human. Can you think of the difference it would make if, in any of the times you've had a few of those situations I just shared, someone you cared about took the time to console you, to look in the eyes and say, hey, you know what it's going to be. Okay, I got you. I see this in my kids when they feel down about something a simple loving touch on the shoulder or a few words of encouragement is all it really takes to help them feel happier, more confident and ready to take on whatever is getting them down. Empathy is more like a powerful. I got go as far as saying empathy is more than a powerful emotion. I believe it's an important life skill, one that everyone should practice. Taking the time to understand each other and our feelings can make a very big difference in this world. So my thought on this let's make this week count, one connection at a time. Welcome to the 2% solution, the Monday motivation. Enjoy the week ahead, because you know what You've got. This Before we go again, I just want to say thank you so much for the ongoing support. Just the fact that I'm seeing the reviews come in, I'm seeing what people are saying, I'm seeing the subscriptions come through, I'm seeing the social shares, that warms my heart. It really does, and it makes me feel so, so appreciated. So I just want to say thank you, because I make this content and I know a lot of times just me talking into a mic, looking in the lens of a camera, but I know that there's connection on the other side. So with that, if you've listened to this today. Please reach out to me on Instagram just at Diamondwell. Send me a little message. Let me know what you're doing this week to work on your human connection, because it's a superpower in you, but a superpower is only as good as how it impacts the world. So go forward, make an impact, make a difference, make your energy count, because it's in you to give it. And just think next time when you're feeling like you need that little, pick me up and someone comes on around that corner and sees you needing a bit of support, a little bit of human connection. So it makes the world go round. So next world go round.
