Chapter 7, the Basic Moves. And before I get into the actual reading of this chapter, I want you to understand that a lot of the exercises, as well as some of the visuals, that really make this book special and it's one of the aspects that my wife and I are extremely proud about is we went full color. We really put a lot of love into making this book what it is, and we have to really throw a lot of special thanks out to a lot of friends and people that have actually been living the whole life fitness manifesto philosophy for themselves and embarked on this journey with us many, many years ago, and so, for those that have the book, you'll see the pictures of the exercises and the instructions on how to do the workouts. Those are all real people. These are our friends. These are friends that have gotten results and continue to sustain the lifestyle that they're leading by following this simple philosophy. Chapter 7, the Basic Moves the first step in the whole life fitness power 30 is to become familiar with the basic exercise moves. There are 34 in total. Each movement is broken down from a start position to an end position. We've offered some variations to try on some of the movements, because everyone starts the program with a different level of fitness. Don't fret If you have to use variations at first. That's why we've provided them. It's important to remember that there's no judgment here. Just do each movement to the best of your ability and keep moving. Remember to be mindful of your own limits, not your friends. Work within your range of motion and add an intensity that works for you. You may feel a little discomfort at times, but you should not feel any pain. Remember the old adage no pain, no gain. Well, no, it's no pain, no pain, all right. Always consult a physician before starting any new exercise program. That's a must and try to be patient with yourself. Nothing happens overnight. The whole life fitness power 30 is not an instant fix. It's a sustainable, practical, doable solution toward a more fit and healthy lifestyle. It works bit by bit, day by day and inch by inch. If we keep reinforcing these new positive habits, the big payoff is sure to come. Keep this in mind If you don't have support of those around you, don't worry about it. You gotta support you. Find a tribe, get into the tribe, get a community. It always reminds me of the Chinese proverb the person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who I know. You get what I'm saying here, so I'm just gonna quickly glance through the pages here as I'm reading from this. It's pretty fun when you start to go through the book. It talks about foot positioning. We'll talk about variations of cardio movements, like even just air skipping. Then we talk about the burpee and many different styles of that, and in fact, if you haven't been on my blog lately, I've got an article that talks just about all the different types of burpees you can do out there, and there is a lot of them as well, as you'll see pictures of my beautiful wife, christie, demonstrating the caterpillar stretch and as well as our friends showing how to do crunches and dips and steps and step ups and lateral hops and leg hops and oh my gosh, it just goes on and on and on. As I said, there's 34 movements that we use and shake them up to make the 28 days of workouts Fun, right, it's all fun, and I know that this is something that can definitely help you get results. That's why you're listening to this right. You're looking to adopt a lifestyle, and a lifestyle that will fuel you literally from the inside out. You know we talk about nutrition, fueling you from the inside out, but also mentally. We gotta fuel our brains, we gotta fuel ourselves physically. The body, mind and spirit connection is so tight, and so a lot of thought, a lot of effort went into creating the program and putting the exercises together in the way that we have. I've drawn over 20 years of experience working with lots of different types of people, so that pretty much sums up chapter seven. I know not much I can talk you through here. I guess I could read every description on how to do the movement, but you know what. You just gotta go and you gotta read the book or follow along in some of our daily videos.
